Jobbeschreibung

1. Key Responsibilities

  1. Achieve monthly budget goals and new business targets.
  2. Set up and maintain good working relationships with all other areas of the hotel’s operations, such as Front Office, Food and Beverage, Accounting, Reservations, etc.
  3. Prospect by telephone cold-calling to establish territories.
  4. Establish and maintain corporate accounts with clients.
  5. Follow-up with clients before, during, and after the function/event/stay to ensure repeat business.
  6. Make reservations on behalf of clients.
  7. Follow-up with clients who utilize the property.
  8. Handle complaints and pass them on to the Senior Sales Manager.
  9. Follow-up leads provided by Global Sales Offices.
  10. Research and present lost business reports at the Monthly Sales Meetings.
  11. Travel throughout GCC countries and internationally when necessary.
  12. Provide Senior Sales Manager with weekly sales reports.
  13. Provide the Banqueting Department with any leads received through corporate clients.
  14. Attend various trade shows and functions as required.
  15. Maintain familiarity with and analyze the competition from other hotels designated.
  16. Contribute to the overall market plan for Majlis Grand Mercure Residence.
  17. Participate in training programs.
  18. React promptly to requests by the Senior Sales Manager for reports and other assignments.

2. General Responsibilities

  1. Promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy, and an extremely high standard of social skills.
  2. Promote and ensure good inter-departmental relations.
  3. Display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times to promote a good company image to guests and colleagues.
  4. Demonstrate pride in the workplace and personal appearance at all times when representing the hotel.
  5. Adhere to Company and Hotel rules and regulations at all times.

3. Occasional Responsibilities

  1. Report any equipment failures/problems to the Maintenance Department.
  2. Pass any maintenance requests to the Maintenance Department.
  3. Participate in any Training/Development schemes as recommended by senior management.
  4. Assist the Duty Manager in any task outlined/detailed by him/her.
  5. Comply with any reasonable request made by management to the best of your ability.

4. Compliance Responsibilities

Ensure that the standards required by law and by management are maintained at all times in the areas specified above.

5. HSE Responsibilities

  1. Assist and participate in environmental improvement programs which help to reduce, reuse, and recycle air, water, and energy resources.
  2. Observe all safety and environmental rules and regulations.
  3. Report any unsafe conditions or environmental issues to their in-charge/foreman or safety personnel.
  4. Comply with all rules and regulations implemented by the Hotel Authorities and ensure all works are carried out in a safe manner.
