- Set up banquet rooms, including tables, chairs, linens, and place settings according to event specifications
- Greet and welcome guests, ensuring a positive first impression
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas throughout events
- Assist with post-event breakdown and cleanup
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues efficiently
- Process payments and manage cash transactions accurately
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Participate in pre-shift briefings and training sessions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food and beverage service, preferably in banquet settings
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and supportive demeanor
- Proficiency in food and beverage service techniques
- Knowledge of banquet operations and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven teamwork abilities
- Keen attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Food handling certification (preferred)
- Alcohol service certification (if applicable)
- Experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment (preferred)
- Ability to work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Knowledge of local customs and etiquette (preferred)
