Job description

We are looking for a Laundry Attendant to join a private property. The role involves management of laundry pressing and garment care wardrobe maintenance and supporting household presentation standards to ensure clothing and linens are maintained to a high level of quality and readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the laundry cycle including sorting washing drying and folding for family members staff and guests according to fabric care instructions.

• Operate and maintain washing machines tumble dryers steamers and irons selecting appropriate programmes detergents and settings for different textiles.

• Ensure delicate bespoke and specialist items (e.g. silk cashmere lace embellished garments) are handled with care and treated using recommended methods; arrange professional cleaning where required.

Pressing Finishing & Wardrobe Presentation

• Press and finish garments to a high standard using steam and handfinishing techniques to ensure professional presentation.

• Inspect items for stains damage or wear and either treat repair or report to the household manager for further action; perform minor mending and buttonreplacement when competent to do so.

• Organise and present garments and linens neatly in wardrobes drawers and linen cupboards; maintain labelling folding standards and seasonal rotation as directed.
