Responsibilities
- Greet and serve the guest by NOVOTEL standards of food and beverages in terms of quality presentation sanitation in a gracious and professional manner. Follow up daily outlet operation task by helping and acting. Display aggressive hospitality through positive personality with both guest and fellow associates. Take pride in all facets of service with a clean professional appearance and keep a sparkling clean dining room at all times.
- Self-motivate by consistently focusing on guest satisfaction and delivering service excellence.
- Adhere to local regulations concerning health safety or other compliance requirements as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.
- Assist in restaurant service by bussing and resetting tables in a speedy and organized manner. Stock and replenish silverware and napkins in service stations. Maintain a sparkling clean restaurant with high sanitation standards.
- Perform efficiently within the designated time frame.
- Adhere to opening and closing procedures.
- Share recommendations and guest comments with the Restaurant Supervisor and Restaurant Management team to reflect current customer profile.
- Punch in and check for work assignment after reporting to work.
- Clean all chinaware, flatware, glassware, outlet furniture and all necessary items to keep outlet clean and tidy according to hotel standards.
- Set up your service station and check prior to outlet opening hour: cleanliness of tables and chairs, ensure tableware is well set up and nothing is missing.
- Follow all Novotel policies and procedures.
- Report to work on scheduled days at time by following uniform and appearance standards.
- Work as a team within the outlet and the entire hotel.
- Follow all safety policies to ensure a safe work area.
- Be knowledgeable of menu items, their garnish contents and preparation methods. Be ready to answer any guest questions about the menu in a positive and concise way.
Qualifications
- High School or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field.
- 1 year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have availability to work AM and PM shifts
- Must have availability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays
