- Maintain and repair all refrigeration and HVAC systems on board the cruise ship
- Monitor and record temperatures and pressures of all refrigeration and HVAC equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose any issues with refrigeration and HVAC systems
- Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies for refrigeration and HVAC systems
- Train and supervise junior refrigeration engineers
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a refrigeration engineer, preferably in a marine or cruise ship environment
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, including chillers, air handlers, and compressors
- Familiarity with refrigerants and their properties
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work long hours and in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
