Overview

The Water Technician is responsible for implementing and maintaining water savings across assigned properties.

The role includes recommending interventions, monitoring water usage, and ensuring optimal water efficiency throughout the duration of contracts.

Occasional work on other sites or regions may be required.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • N6 / National Diploma in Civil Engineering with Plumbing Trade Certificate

Requirements
  • Water audit and efficiency expertise
  • Installation and repair of bulk infrastructure (meters, valves, pipework mm)
  • Domestic plumbing repairs (cisterns, taps, flush valves, stopcocks)
  • Knowledge of older pipe systems (asbestos cement, galvanised)
  • Experience with water conservation (boreholes, rain / grey water harvesting)
  • Understanding of bulk infrastructure (reservoirs, pump stations, step tests)
  • Planning, troubleshooting, and selecting appropriate tools / materials
  • Knowledge of water infrastructure and demand management
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Google Chrome
  • Ability to draft basic reticulation schematics
  • Commitment to health & safety, company values, and ethical practices
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel
