POS Onsite Technician: Install, Configure & Go-Live Support
Job summary
A local IT support company in George seeks a technician for onsite support and hardware installations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, configuring POS systems, and client liaison. Ideal candidates will have at least a year of IT support experience, knowledge of networking, and relevant certifications such as A+ or N+. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential for success. This position may require after-hours work and participation in a standby rotation.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in IT hardware support or onsite installation.
- Experience in POS, retail, or hospitality technology environments is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite technical support during installations and for escalated issues.
- Install and configure POS terminals and other hardware.
- Perform thorough testing of systems before going live.
- Ensure documentation of installations and service activities.
