Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify suitable locations for wind energy projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop wind farm layouts, considering factors such as wind resources, land constraints, and environmental impact.
  • Perform wind resource assessments and energy production estimations using industry-standard software and tools.
  • Design wind turbine foundations and support structures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors during project construction, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety protocols.
  • Conduct performance analysis of wind farms, identifying optimisation opportunities and implementing corrective measures when necessary.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in wind energy to drive innovation and improve project efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in the wind energy industry or renewable energy sector is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in wind resource assessment tools, such as WindPRO, WAsP, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of wind turbine design principles, including aerodynamics, structural mechanics, and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC 61400 series, ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
  • Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for wind farm layout design and structural analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and analyse complex data sets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused, with a commitment to deliver high-quality results within project timelines.
