About the Role

We are working with a UK-based consultancy dedicated to empowering frontline staff through innovative IT solutions. They are growing their Cape Town capability to deliver world-class workforce management solutions and scale their operations. As a WFM Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of workforce management technology projects from initiation through to post-implementation support. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, and ensure that project scope, timelines, and budgets are met – all while guiding clients through the transition to improved ways of working. Your ability to combine strong project management discipline with an understanding of WFM processes will be key to delivering measurable outcomes for our clients.

Location

This is a hybrid role with approx 3-4 days in our office in Cape Town. If you’re applying from another location, please be aware relocation to Cape Town will be required and would need to be arranged personally.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of WFM projects, from planning to implementation and handover
  • Manage project scope, budgets, risks, and timelines, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations
  • Facilitate workshops and requirements-gathering sessions with clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects, SMEs, functional and technical consultants to ensure solutions align with business needs, best practices and meet client requirements
  • Monitor and report on project progress, escalating risks or issues as required
  • Build strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
  • Help grow our team by contributing to best practices, mentoring colleagues, and supporting internal initiatives that strengthen our delivery capability
Essential Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven experience managing technology or business transformation projects, ideally in WFM, HR, or related systems
  • Strong understanding of workforce management processes and operational best practice
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • A collaborative, solutions-driven approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile) would be advantageous
Qualifications & Experience
  • BCom in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Industrial Psychology or Human Resource Management, (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience managing technology or business transformation projects, ideally in workforce management, HRIS, or operational systems
  • Solid understanding of workforce management processes and best practice for frontline operations
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage expectations and influence outcomes
  • Experience working in a consulting, technology, or systems integration environment is advantageous
