Job description

Our client is on the lookout for an Underwriter: Personal Lines who will assist advisors in managing personal lines insurance policies, from initial underwriting through to policy renewals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the personal lines underwriting process from start to finish.
  • Prepare for policy renewals.
  • Communicate with clients and advisers.
  • Prepare and provide quotations.
  • Issue new policies, renewals, and endorsements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Record and maintain detailed information in relevant systems.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • NQF 4 Certificate in Short-Term Insurance (advantageous).
  • RE5 Certificate (advantageous).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in personal lines underwriting.
