Job summary

A childcare service provider is seeking an au pair in Johannesburg to assist two boys in Grade 7 and Grade 8, focusing on Maths and English. Job description

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday - 2 hours per day between 16:00 and 20:00

A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their 2 boys.

Area:

Senderwood

Children’s Ages:

Boys - Grade 7 and Grade 8

Duties:

The children struggled particularly with Maths and English last year, with Maths being a key focus area. The tutor will be required to do daily reading with the children, provide extra Maths support, and assist with the day’s homework. There may be some additional tutoring required over weekends during exam periods.

Special Requirements:

Someone who is very strong in Maths, preferably a qualified teacher or a tutor with extensive Maths tutoring experience.

Start Date & Contract term:

ASAP - permanent

Salary:

R200 - R400 per hour (Gross, before deductions). Salary based on experience.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record.
• Must have a passion for children.
• Must have Matric.
• Must have a South African ID document.
