Drive Sales, Manage Teams, and Own the Counter Operations.

Busy Lawnmower shop in Boksburg is seeking a highly experienced, results-focused leader to manage our parts counter and coordinate daily sales operations.

This is a crucial management-track position that requires exceptional technical depth, proven sales ability, and professional leadership skills.

We are looking for a career professional with a history of stability—this is not an entry-level position.

Compensation & Work Schedule
  • Base Salary: R15,000 – R25,000 per month (Dependent on Experience).
  • Earning Potential: Highly competitive commission structure rewarding overall sales and operational performance.
  • Required Schedule: Must be willing to work every Saturday and be available for scheduled shifts on some public holidays.
Core Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Act as the Team Leader for the sales counter, providing guidance, training, and support to other sales staff and coordinating workflow with workshop assistants / mechanics.
  • Sales & Service: Handle complex customer inquiries, diagnose mechanical issues, and ensure the counter team delivers expert, profitable sales of parts, services, and equipment.
  • Administrative Reporting: Generate and manage various daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management, including sales figures, inventory movement, and team productivity.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, inventory organization, and customer service delivery across the parts and service counter.
The Expertise We Require (Non-Negotiable)
  • 3+ Years of Documented Sales Experience with demonstrated success in a leadership, supervisory, or management role.
  • Mechanical Mastery: Strong, verifiable working knowledge of small engine mechanics (2-stroke and 4-stroke diagnostics, parts, and repair logic).
  • Professionalism & Reliability: Mature, composed individual who consistently demonstrates high ethical standards, reliability, and emotional maturity, including excellent conflict resolution and communication skills.
  • Administrative Proficiency: Strong computer skills (Excel, POS systems) and proven experience in creating and analyzing operational reports.
