Job summary

A dynamic BPO company is looking for a Talent Sourcer to join their recruitment team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, reviewing, and screening candidate applications, ensuring only qualified individuals progress in the hiring process. This fully remote role requires attention to detail and effective communication skills. The candidate should have experience in recruitment or a similar role, particularly in healthcare. Working hours will align with US time zones, and candidates are expected to work on both South African and US public holidays.

ISTA Personnel Solutions is a dynamic and fast-growing BPO company. We are not a recruitment agency - we operate as a dedicated extension of our US-based clients’ teams, delivering high-quality service with precision, efficiency, and a personal touch.

The Talent Sourcer will support the recruitment team by focusing on the front-end stages of the hiring process. This role is responsible for sourcing, reviewing, and screening candidate applications to ensure only suitable, qualified candidates are progressed to the next stage of the recruitment process.

The Talent Sourcer will conduct initial candidate assessments, including resume screening and basic suitability checks, before handing shortlisted candidates over to the next stakeholder in the hiring process. This role does not involve direct hiring manager ownership, offer management, or onboarding, and is focused purely on building and maintaining a strong pipeline of quality candidates.

This is not a commission paying role.

PLEASE NOTE
  • Working Hours: This role requires you to work EST hours Mon - Fri from 9 am to 6 pm EST (16h00 to 01h00 South African time - subject to change in accordance with daylight savings in the United States).
  • You will be required to work on both South African and US public holidays (compensation for SA public holidays in accordance with the BCEA)
  • Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
  • Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
  • Work Environment: This is a fully remote working role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Source candidates through job boards, databases, ATS platforms, and other sourcing channels
  • Review and screen high volumes of applications against defined role criteria
  • Conduct initial candidate suitability assessments and shortlisting
  • Ensure only qualified candidates are progressed to the next recruitment stage
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within the ATS
  • Build and maintain a strong, consistent pipeline of healthcare talent
  • Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the early recruitment stages
  • Support recruiters by delivering pre-vetted, high-quality candidate shortlistss
Requirements
  • Experience in a junior recruitment, talent sourcing, or recruitment administrator role (required)
  • Proven experience in resume screening and candidate shortlisting, preferably within healthcare or a similar sector (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as ClickUp, Lever, or similar platforms (advantageous)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and prioritise high volumes of applications (required)
  • Ability to make sound, consistent screening decisions based on role-specific criteria (required)
  • English as a first language with excellent written and verbal communication skills (required)
