Strategic Partnerships and Engagement Manager

Role Purpose

The job holder will report directly to the Head of Resource Mobilisation and will assume direct responsibility and accountability for building and managing strategic partnerships that enable programme delivery and fundraising.

The role supports business development, partnering, coordination with Programmes, MEAL and Finance, and contributes to developing tools that enhance partnership mechanisms.

Accountabilities

Support the Head of RM in identifying funding opportunities, drafting proposals, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Develop and implement contextually relevant guidance and tools for equitable partnership approaches.

Ensure partnership management processes – due diligence, risk identification, agreements, resource planning – are followed.

Provide training to staff and partners on partnership management and capacity building.

Develop partnership strategies aligned with Country Strategy, RM priorities and global objectives.

Coordinate with other departments to harmonise tools, SOPs, guidelines and conceptual frameworks.

Maintain the partners budget and align with the partnership strategy.

Represent Plan International in coordination platforms and forums, and maintain external networks with NGOs, INGOs, UN, private sector, foundations.

Ensure compliance with child protection, gender equality and inclusion policies.

Other duties as assigned by the Head of RM.

Key Relationships

Internal : Plan Jordan Staff, support services, national offices.

External : local government ministries, donors, INGOs, local implementing partners.

Essential Qualifications

Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in project management in youth livelihood, education, child protection, SRHR or youth and women empowerment.

University degree in Social Work, Business, Social Sciences or related field.

Knowledge of Jordanian context, legal and policy frameworks.

Experience leading and implementing partner projects in humanitarian or refugee settings.

Strong network with government entities and ability to secure approvals.

Experience in budget management and donor engagement.

Excellent Arabic and English language skills.

Flexible work attitude and ability to work independently within a small team.
