  • Take authorised orders/quotes to the manager for authorisation.
  • Perform ad-hoc stock takes as instructed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Organise and maintain the workshop inventory.
  • Report damaged or incorrect items to the manager.
  • Comply with workshop store policies and procedures.

Workshop Store Picker

Requirements
  • Knowledge of stock / stores / mechanical parts
  • Proven experience as a stores picker in a workshop store, warehouse or distribution environment
  • Knowledge of inventory systems
  • Ability to use picking list
  • Ability to lift heavy items and work in a fast-paced environment
Duties
  • Receiving: Sign receipt of parts as stated on authorised invoices. Check the orders for accuracy, completeness, and quality. Note any items not received or ordered. All received items must be packed away in the correct bin allocation.
  • Dispatch: Pick / select parts as per the Picking Slip. Check the orders for accuracy, completeness, and quality. Ensure the recipient signs the picking slip for all parts received.
  • Runner: All authorised orders and / or quotes must be taken to the Workshop Manager / Chief Technical Advisor or Fleet Manager for Authorisation prior to orders being placed with suppliers by the Storeman / Buyer.
  • Stock take: Perform ad-hoc stock takes as instructed by the Storeman.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe work environment. (sweeping and dusting, ensuring all parts are neatly packed in the allocated bin).
  • Organise, label, secure, and maintain the workshop inventory in designated areas or locations.
  • Report any damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the Storeman or Manager.
  • Comply with the workshop store policies and procedures.
  • Any ad-hoc duties over and above the scope of this job description.
