Introduction

To effectively manage, coordinate, and monitor the company's financial activities, including general accounting, management accounting, budgeting, insurance, and risk management, ensuring the optimal utilization of financial resources in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The role also involves assisting in maximizing profits.

Must be able to speak, read, and write English and Afrikaans fluently.

Experience working in Plant, Manufacturing, or FMCG environments is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and planning for financial management, including preparing financial reports, analyzing costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company's actual performance compared to business plans.
  • Set goals and objectives for the financial department.
  • Financial control: execute cost and production accounting tasks, draft and advise on accounting policies and procedures, manage the annual external audit, oversee debtor and creditor administration, procurement, and asset management.
  • Strategic Management: conduct business financial planning, research latest developments, create financial forecasts, and contribute to strategic planning for future growth.
  • People Management.
  • Administrative Control.
  • Liaison: communicate with senior and line management, external role players including SARS, auditors, banks, and suppliers.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

Accounting or Financial Management qualification.

SAIPA registration is required.

Minimum of 8 years working experience.

Solid working experience in a plant, manufacturing, or FMCG environment is essential.
