Service and Calibration Engineer

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Service and Calibration Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded professional who thrives on precision, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality service.

This role is a fully remote role for a candidate based in South Africa, ideally Bloemfontein and it involves hands‑on technical work, and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform precision calibration of various instruments in line with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Conduct on‑site servicing and maintenance of client equipment to ensure operational reliability.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with minimal downtime.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records including service logs, calibration certificates, and compliance documentation.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with clients through exceptional service delivery.

Working Hours

  • Full‑time position, fully remote with the exception of on‑site training during probation period.

Requirements

Requirements: Education, Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience in a similar technical role, preferably as a Service and Calibration Engineer.
  • Strong understanding of calibration methods and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing both mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or certifications (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
Other Requirements
  • Willingness to commit to on‑site training at start of position at the head office in Bloemfontein
