Overview

Sales & Marketing Manager – Location: Cape Town, South Africa/Remote. Reports to: Head of Business Development / Senior Management.

We are seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager to lead our sales and marketing function in the property sector. This is a senior leadership role focused on driving revenue, building and managing a high-performing team, and developing strategies that deliver measurable business growth. The successful candidate will be hands-on, organised, and results-driven, with the ability to set clear targets, refine strategies through trial and error, and close sales effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and structure the sales and marketing team.
  • Define clear roles, responsibilities, objectives, and KPIs.
  • Manage team workflow, ensuring priorities and resources are aligned.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide development support.

Sales & Business Growth

  • Drive initiatives that convert opportunities into closed sales.
  • Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships.
  • Align sales and marketing activities with wider business development goals.

Strategy & Execution

  • Develop, test, and refine strategies across multiple channels.
  • Deliver campaigns (digital, print, events) that generate measurable results.
  • Analyse performance data to continuously improve outcomes.

Market & Industry Insights

  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify opportunities.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends to guide innovative initiatives.

Operations & Budget Management

  • Manage the sales and marketing budget effectively.
  • Deliver campaigns on time, within budget, and to high standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Brand & Communication

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms.
  • Oversee sales collateral, digital content, and promotional material.
  • Manage social media and digital presence to increase engagement and lead generation.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience: 15–20 years in sales and marketing, with proven success in building and leading teams.
  • Track Record: Strong background in driving sales conversions and delivering business growth.
  • Skills: Leadership, strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, project management, digital and traditional marketing.
  • Attributes: Results-driven, methodical, innovative, adaptable, and an excellent communicator.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: R40,000pm - R50,000pm (Negotiable for the right candidate, commensurate with experience and track records.)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 (SA time).
  • Work Environment: Remote role supporting a UK-based business.
  • Leave: 15 days annual leave plus all South African public holidays.

  • Applicants must be based in the Cape Town/Winelands area or nearby, with the ability to attend occasional in-person meetings in Stellenbosch.
  • A stable internet connection is essential, particularly during periods of loadshedding.
