Senior Legal Officer – Reference: NFR

We’re seeking a Senior Legal Officer for our client, a prominent Investment Management and Private Equity firm listed on the JSE. This role involves providing legal counsel across investment management, private equity, and corporate governance.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Legal Advisory Services: Offer legal counsel on investment management, private equity, and corporate governance matters.
  • Contract Management: Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and industry standards.
  • Corporate Transactions: Assist in corporate transactions, including due diligence and document drafting.
  • Litigation Management: Manage litigation matters and liaise with external counsel.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to policy development for legal compliance and risk management.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
  • LLB degree and admitted attorney with 1‑5 years post‑article experience.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, VAT Act, and Insolvency Act.
