Job summary

A leading finance firm in Johannesburg is looking for a seasoned finance professional to manage investment asset reporting. You will be responsible for preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and providing data insights. The ideal candidate should have a Chartered Accountant qualification, a BCom degree, and at least 7 years of experience in financial services, especially in asset management or life insurance. This is a full-time role with a salary range of R 500 000 to R 800 000 annually.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years experience in financial services, ideally in asset management or life insurance.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments and asset management systems.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS7, IFRS10 and general accounting practices.
• Proven ability to manage reporting platforms, reconciliations and stakeholder queries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial investment asset reporting.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger and investment reporting.
• Support tax-related functions including CGT S24J and DWT.
• Document processes to ensure compliance with group policies.
