This role requires excellent organisational skills, a deep understanding of user journey storytelling, and the ability to anticipate and resolve content gaps to keep campaigns on track.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES | THE WHAT & THE HOW
THE ESSENTIALS
- Develop and implement comprehensive content plans for CRM journeys, defining messaging scope, tone, timelines, and deliverables.
- Write compelling, concise copy for multi-channel touchpoints (Email, WhatsApp, Push Notifications) that drives user action.
- Monitor and track content performance, identifying and resolving potential engagement issues to ensure successful campaign completion.
Visual & Motion Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including motion designers and visual artists, to ensure effective collaboration and communication between copy and design.
- Scripting for Motion: Translate complex ideas into clear scripts and storyboards for motion graphics assets, ensuring the visual and verbal narratives align.

- Provide regular updates to clients, addressing any concerns and maintaining a strong client relationship.
- Ensure that the content scope is clearly understood and documented and that stakeholders are aligned with the delivery expectations.
- Make sure that communication with stakeholders and clients is consistent and keeps any regulatory requirements such as POPIA or GDPR in mind (specifically regarding opt-in/opt-out messaging).
Quality Assurance
- Ensure that project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and align with client expectations.
- Conduct thorough proofreading and QA processes throughout the project lifecycle to ensure error‑free, compliant messaging across all platforms.
FINTECH AND STARTUP EXPERIENCE

- Demonstrated ability to lead product‑focused content initiatives — from ideation through to launch — with a deep understanding of how technology and user experience intersect in digital channels.
- Evidence of working in fast‑paced, scaling organisations, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining delivery excellence.

- Visual & Motion Literacy: Strong ability to think visually; experience writing scripts for video/motion graphics and providing creative direction to designers.
- Proven expertise in Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional project management methodologies as they apply to creative workflows.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross‑functional creative teams.
- Strong data analysis skills to evaluate content performance (A/B testing, Click‑through rates) and inform strategic decisions.
