To support our continued success, we are seeking an experienced Senior Group Accountant to lead group accounting and reporting functions across the business.

Role Overview

The Senior Group Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all group accounting activities, ensuring financial governance, and delivering accurate and timely consolidated group reporting. This role requires strong technical expertise, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to provide insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all group accounting operations across multiple entities.
  • Lead the consolidation and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial governance and internal controls.
  • Provide detailed variance analysis, forecasts, and commentary to senior management.
  • Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Manage group cash flow reporting and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Drive improvements in financial reporting processes through automation and advanced Excel modeling.
  • Support strategic initiatives and provide financial insights for business planning.
  • Mentor and guide junior accountants within the group.

Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in group accounting, consolidation, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and regulatory compliance.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, financial modeling, data analysis).
  • Proven experience in financial governance and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
  • Experience in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is an advantage.
