This is a full-time on‑site position based in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area for a Security Technician.
The Security Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of security equipment.
Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring proper network security measures are in place, and adhering to occupational health and safety requirements.
The technician will also provide expert support to ensure the seamless operation of all security systems at client sites.
Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in security equipment and alarm systems.
Knowledge of all Technological Security equipment such as CCTV (IP / Analog), alarm instrumentation, access control, Perimeter Protection.
Understanding of occupational health and safety practices, procedures, and standards.
Proficiency in installing and maintaining Equipment.
Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Technical certifications or qualifications in electronics or a related field are an advantage.
Previous experience working in the security industry is preferred.
