We are seeking a Sales & Service Technician Apprentice for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 with a diploma in business admin; qualified verification officer preferred
  • 3+ years’ work experience in FMCG with knowledge in retail scales and weights/measures
  • Computer literacy: MS Office, as well as POS software
  • Driver’s license and own vehicle
  • Good communication skills, confident and friendly
  • Clear criminal record and contactable references
  • Willing to work overtime when required

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Updating relevant policies and procedures
  • Sales of product offerings, including scales, automatic wrapping machines, printers, software, spares, and consumables
  • Marketing the company’s products and services, including cold calling, visiting new customers, and giving demonstrations
  • Maintaining existing customer relations
  • Providing services to customers, including installations, verifications, servicing, repairs, deliveries, and customer training on all the company’s products
  • Assisting with helpdesk support, stock counts, and office administration
  • Assisting with debt collection, including cash collections and deposits
  • Working standby weekends on a rotation basis
