Our client, a leading retail and automotive solutions organisation, is seeking to employ a Battery Fitment / Sales Representative to join their team.
This role will be based across Ondekkers, Roodepoort, Lynwood, and Pretoria, offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated and customer‑focused sales professional.
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (NQF 4).
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office; SAP, ERP, and other job‑specific systems)
- Knowledge of sales principles, practice, and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous sales experience in a similar industry.
Responsibilities
Sales Operations
- Source and develop new sales opportunities to achieve departmental targets.
- Generate leads, qualify prospects, and manage the sales of products and services.
- Research competitors and monitor market activities to position the company favourably.
- Forecast sales, develop strategies, and evaluate effectiveness.
- Build productive relationships with clients and maintain a growing customer base.
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales against targets and report to management.
- Introduce promotional and marketing initiatives in line with company strategy.
- Host trade events and customer engagement sessions.
- Assist with credit applications and collaborate with Debtors to ensure timely collections.
- Ensure company vehicles and equipment are maintained per policy.
Stock Control
- Liaise with Warehouse to ensure stock availability.
- Assist with consignment stock processes when required.
- Monitor customer buying patterns to forecast stock needs.
- Track stock rotations, replenishment, and claims stock.
- Support customers in managing their stock levels effectively.
Compliance
- Operate within company controls and procedures.
- Report risks or areas of concern to management.
- Promote adherence to regulations to prevent wasteful or irregular expenditure.
Customer Service
- Maintain effective working relationships with employees and clients.
- Identify and resolve customer queries professionally and efficiently.
- Provide training and presentations on products, pricing, and procedures.
- Maintain and update customer database and POS Material.
Cost Control
- Ensure correct pricing structures are applied.
- Monitor gross profit and implement action plans when necessary.
- Optimise the use of company resources and limit unnecessary expenses.
- Monitor expenditure against budgets and report deviations to management.
