Angama is recruiting an industry professional with reasonably established relationships with the global luxury travel trade for the position of Sales Manager – Europe & the Southern Hemisphere.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business and play a key role in expanding one of the leading independent safari lodge brands on the continent.
Europe, Latin America, Australia and South Africa are established core markets that now require dedicated strategic planning and attention to grow Angama's brand presence and revenues therein.
Your primary role will be to grow Angama's presence, relationships, reputation, and revenues with the travel trade, both as a bed operator (Angama Mara, Angama Safari Camp, Angama Amboseli) and a boutique destination travel company (Angama Travel).
This role reports to the Head of Sales.
Key Responsibilities
- The stewardship of Angama's relationships and reputation with the travel trade, most especially from the specific markets.
- Captivating audiences by sharing the Angama story, both in-person and digitally.
- Travelling locally and abroad for one-on-one sales calls with the travel trade and visiting Angama properties.
- Representing Angama at regional and global trade shows.
- Growing the Angama brand through relationships, reputation and revenue.
- Supporting the Angama sales teams with in-the-moment decision making to enhance Angama's relationships, reputation and revenue with the trade.
- Annual trade revenue is expected to increase year-over-year through the implementation of a sales strategy supported by a commercial foundation of bold decision-making in the best interest of the business.
- Playing a pivotal role in maintaining Angama's trade database and trade communication.
- Drafting copy for sales tools and offers, supported by the Marketing team.
- Tailoring strategies for each specific market, ensuring Angama's success.

Key Qualifications
- A relevant qualification with at least 3 years' post-degree experience in the tourism or hospitality industries.
- Well-established relationships with the travel trade in the Southern Africa Region; any other market relationships are beneficial.
A natural ability to tell stories.
