Job description

Manage day-to-day enquiries from clients regarding property information, brochures, rates, and offers.

Organize FAM trips, site inspections, and product training sessions.

Conduct regular product training, site inspections, and entertainment to increase the hotel’s market share among competitors.

Perform sales trips, blitzes, and calls within South Africa, focusing on Cape Town and surrounding areas.

Make a minimum of 15 sales calls per week.

Assist with annual corporate contracting efforts.

Communicate promotions, special offers, packages, and client incentives internally and externally to relevant team members.

Maintain accurate trade client records, files, and correspondence (both electronic and hard copy) to develop and monitor client databases for effective mailings and client history.

Help achieve or exceed hotel sales targets by supporting all sales opportunities and managing sales-related costs within the marketing budget.

Maintain departmental records, including sales and marketing expenditure, and renew local memberships and subscriptions.

Develop and sustain relationships with local tourist offices, lifestyle, and concierge companies.

Compile weekly sales reports and statistics from the reservation system, analyzing source of business, nationality, partner production, booking patterns, and observations.

Maintain full product knowledge of the hotel.

Coordinate the supply of sales kits, collateral, and giveaways.

Update the CRM with sales activities and key customer information.

Maintain and update the customer database.

Research industry trends, innovations, and opportunities to grow the business.

Manage workload effectively.

Ensure professional appearance according to company policy.

Share ideas and problems with colleagues, encouraging input for decision-making.

Act fairly, consistently, and responsibly.

Attend meetings as required.

Operate within all company policies at all times.

Perform operational tasks on the property as required by senior management.
