Sales Executive position available in Johannesburg.

The core objective of the Sales Executive is to drive business growth by successfully identifying and securing new clients, while also sustaining and expanding relationships with existing partners.

This role serves as a crucial point of contact between the company and its markets, translating logistics solutions into commercial agreements.

Salary: R30 000 – R35 000 basic per month plus commission.

Key Deliverables:

  • Prospecting for new clients within both current and emerging markets.
  • Planning and executing persuasive pitches to convert opportunities into business agreements.
  • Developing professional rapport with new clients and establishing targets to continually enhance the commercial relationship.
  • Negotiating terms of agreement, making accurate, rapid calculations, and closing sales.
  • Providing clients with quotations and ensuring accurate costing.
  • Sustaining and growing revenue streams from existing clients.
  • Maintaining accurate reporting and statistics of all sales pipelines.

General Accountabilities:

The successful candidate will be measured against the following responsibilities:

  • Developing focused business development strategies with a prioritized list of high-value potential clients in future markets.
  • Ensuring operational service levels are met or exceeded through the achievement of contractual Key Performance Indicators.
  • Co-ordinating sales bids and responding to invitations to tender as necessary.
  • Meeting the annual sales budget.
  • Actively contributing to market promotion by attending trade industry events and networking to generate sales leads and identify appropriate business contacts.
  • Identifying opportunities for campaigns, products, or services that can lead to an increase in revenue.
  • Presenting to and consulting with senior management on market trends to inform the development of new services or advise on pricing strategy.
  • Assisting with the collection of revenue.
  • Ensuring a principled and professional approach to all interactions with clients and customers.

Essential Requirements:

  • Educated to university degree level or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • A minimum of 8–10 years of experience in Sales and Marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience in Customer Management at a senior level.
  • Proven ability as an experienced change manager.
  • IT literate with strong Project Management skills.
  • Good understanding of distribution, transport, and warehousing operations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and oral English language skills.
