The Rental Agent is responsible for marketing and letting residential or commercial properties, liaising between landlords and tenants, and ensuring a smooth rental process. The role requires strong sales and customer service skills, excellent communication, and a results-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Market and advertise rental properties across online platforms and other channels.
• Conduct property viewings with prospective tenants.
• Handle tenant inquiries and provide information on properties, rental terms, and processes.
• Screen and assess tenant applications, including reference and credit checks.
• Negotiate rental agreements and lease terms between landlords and tenants.
• Prepare and finalize lease agreements and related documentation.
• Maintain strong relationships with landlords to ensure their properties are leased efficiently.
• Provide ongoing support to tenants and landlords during the tenancy.
• Keep accurate records of properties, tenant applications, and leases.

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 (relevant property or real estate qualification is an advantage).
• Proven experience in property rentals, real estate, or sales.
• Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of property management systems and online property portals.
• Highly organized and able to multitask.
