A luxury design firm is seeking a skilled Revit Technician to join their team in Cape Town. The role involves managing the production of architectural drawings and collaborating with internal teams on various projects. Ideal candidates will have a BTech in Architectural Technology or a National Diploma in Interior Design, with over 4 years of relevant experience and advanced proficiency in Revit, Lumion, and AutoCAD. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and involvement in high-profile interior architecture projects.

As a Revit Technician, you will manage the production of interior design and architectural drawings for projects of varying complexity. This includes full architectural solutions in collaboration with internal architects and interior designers. You’ll play a vital role in advancing digital best practices, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring high standards of modelling, detailing, and documentation are met across the business.
Deliver high-quality documentation across multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
Produce accurate layouts, sections, elevations, custom furniture details, and joinery shop drawings.
Custom model furniture, lighting, and textured objects aligned with presentation and design intent.
Manage and collaborate on shared Revit & Lumion models with SAOTA and IA teams.
Guide team members on efficient BIM workflows, Revit Central File navigation, and model setup.
Lead the monthly audit, publishing, and development of the Revit Furniture Library and seamless texture libraries.
Convert and import external formats (MAX/OBJ/SAT/DWG) into Revit-compatible content.
Assist with electrical, lighting, artwork, and window treatment coordination drawings.
Provide high-quality 3D views and render preparation using Lumion and post-production software like Photoshop or Gimp.
Ensure full compliance with ARRCC’s documentation and file management systems and contribute to their ongoing improvement.
Support training, mentorship, and skills development within the technical team.
BTech in Architectural Technology or National Diploma in Interior Design.
Minimum 4+ years of experience in a similar Revit-based technical role.
Advanced proficiency in Revit, Lumion, and AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and custom furniture detailing.
Skilled in Microsoft Office, with strong documentation and communication capabilities.
Detail-oriented, accurate, and efficient under pressure.
Strong sense of ownership, proactive attitude, and the ability to manage priorities autonomously.
Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and judgement skills.
Demonstrated experience mentoring junior staff and promoting technical excellence across a team.
A clear, methodical thinker with a high level of professionalism.
A positive, proactive team player who thrives in fast-paced, design-led environments.
A problem-solver with a flexible attitude and strong accountability.
