Role overview

We are looking for a dynamic, customer-focused Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our showrooms. This role is responsible for driving sales, managing operational efficiency, maintaining brand integrity, and leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management
  Drive store performance to meet and exceed sales and gross profit targets;
  Ensure compliance with discount management KPI;
  Manage operating expenses in line with budgets;
  Oversee effective stock control processes;
  General store administration
• Brand & Customer Experience
  Uphold exceptional Visual Merchandising standards and overall store presentation;
  Ensure showroom cleanliness and order across all areas;
  Deliver a premium, customer-centric shopping experience;
  Implement and maintain in-store standards, including music, staff dress code, and customer engagement;
  Execute consistent, high-quality business processes
• People Management
  Lead, motivate and manage all store staff;
  Conduct regular training and development;
  Manage performance;
  Operational Excellence;
  Ensure that processes detailed below are executed efficiently and as per company policy
• Sales
  Stock management;
  Point of sale;
  Visual Merchandising execution;
  Back of house operations;
  Ensure compliance with company/internal terms and conditions

What you bring

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma or degree)
• Minimum 5 years of work experience, with at least 3 years in senior management role
• Previous experience in a consumer-focused retail environment
• Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Excellent financial acumen - analyzing and interpreting sales figures, understanding financial indicators and budget management
• Proficient in working with different systems and technology, including POS and stock management systems
• Available to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle essential
