Job description

The position is primarily responsible for the preparation of Construction Works Preliminary Estimates, Bills of Quantities & Final Accounts, Dispute Resolution, Scope/Drawings Change Management, Stakeholder/Client Advisory and General Administration of progress (physical and financial) of works with minimum supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provision of Preliminary Estimate for building & civil projects.
  2. Provide advice on contract administration.
  3. Provision of professional advice to clients in regards to proposed capital works.
  4. Resolve contractual disputes of construction contract works.
  5. Track changes to design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
  6. Accurately prepare Final Accounts and Detailed Bill of Quantities.
Knowledge & Experience
  1. At least 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or 3 years in the Field of QS and Estimating.
  2. Strength in problem solving of Contract Law and Disputes.
  3. Equally efficient, effective and works independently and also in cooperation with others.
  4. Sound knowledge of necessary Acts and Legislations governing procurement, payments and finance.
  5. Sound knowledge of current principles, methods and practices relating to Quantity Surveying and its Standards.
  6. Must have the ability to use Microsoft Office especially, Excel and Project, Build Soft.
Skills & Abilities
  1. Ability to read, interpret, extract quantities, track changes and detect any discrepancies from construction drawings.
  2. Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to monitor and control work progress both financially and physically.
  5. Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.

Additional Information
