Purpose of the Role

To provide general rental administrative support to the Property and Leasing Department for a national retailer, ensuring accurate accounting, efficient processes, and compliance with relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

Process rent payments and ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation

Review monthly utilities accounts to identify issues or discrepancies

Attend to account queries internally and with landlords promptly

Conduct account reconciliations as required

Provide insights and recommendations on rental income and utilities expenses to management

Manage rent escalations, renewals, and terminations

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies

Issue monthly turnover figures to landlords in a timely manner

Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting and lease administration, preferably in retail.

Experience with MRI software

Good verbal and written communication skills

High level of attention to detail

Proficient in MS Excel

Professional accounting certification (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA)
