Job summary

A leading human resources firm is seeking a Regional Head to lead and grow a short-term insurance business in the Cape Town Northern Suburbs. This senior leadership role requires a strong focus on regional performance, compliance, and talent development. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, FAIS compliance, and at least 10 years of short-term insurance experience including 5 years in leadership. The role involves developing business strategies to increase market share, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

  • At least 5 years’ senior leadership experience managing similar-sized operations.
  • Proven ability to lead commercial and personal lines broking operations.

  • Develop and execute the regional business plan to grow market share and revenue.
  • Drive performance across key revenue drivers: cancellations, cross-selling, up-selling, and new business.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the regional business plan to grow market share and revenue
  • Drive performance across key revenue drivers: cancellations, cross-selling, up-selling, and new business
  • Translate regional strategy into clear objectives for teams and individuals
  • Achieve financial targets and manage regional budgets
  • Implement and maintain superior client service models and SOPs
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards
  • Manage and maintain product provider relationships
  • Oversee talent management, succession planning, and EE objectives
  • Align recruitment, performance management, and development strategies with business needs
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and development
  • Contribute towards achieving regional BBBEE scorecard targets
