Overview

Are you a strategic finance professional with strong operational oversight and a passion for governance? Our client in the distribution industry is seeking a Regional Finance Manager to take full ownership of financial, operational, and compliance functions within the region. This role is a true business partnership opportunity — working closely with the Regional GM to drive profitability, enforce controls, and ensure the region remains audit-ready at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Lead month-end reporting, consolidations, variance analysis, and management packs.
  • Own the region’s P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Partner with operations to monitor cost efficiency (labour productivity, machine uptime, cost / kg).
  • Enforce procurement, payroll, and inventory controls, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and oversee acquisitions, transfers, and disposals.
  • Drive ESG compliance, SHEQ adherence, and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Track and review sales performance, customer profitability, and commercial approvals.
  • Manage working capital and cash flow in line with group policies.
  • Lead, coach, and train the regional finance team on governance and accountability.
  • Champion a culture of audit readiness, control discipline, and compliance across all functions.
What You’ll Need
  • Grade 12 with a Finance / Accounting Degree or Diploma (Honours advantageous).
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ management experience in a similar finance leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and company-related finance systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and confident working under pressure.
