This apprenticeship offers a structured pathway to becoming a qualified Quantity Surveyor. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across all aspects of commercial contract management, supported by expert mentorship and formal training. From negotiating contracts to managing costs and payments, you’ll develop the technical and professional skills needed for a successful career in the construction industry.

Real Work, Real Experience

From day one you’ll work alongside experienced professionals on real projects that shape the built environment within our contract team. You’ll gain practical, hands‑on experience in Quantity Surveying.

Structured Learning

Alongside your job you’ll study part‑time with a recognised training provider or university. Your learning is directly linked to your role, so you’ll see how theory applies in practice and vice versa.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Contract Management: Assist in the negotiation and agreement of terms and conditions for contracts and sub‑contracts, working with in‑house and external legal advisors.
  • Financial Oversight: Help establish financial control systems for contract execution, manage revenue, costs and cash collection, and produce commercial reports and forecasts.
  • Procurement & Subcontractor Engagement: Support the procurement process and help define responsibilities and terms for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Payment & Reporting: Monitor customer payments, prepare subcontractor payment certificates, and ensure accurate financial reporting throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Health, Safety & Environment: Learn to monitor and uphold HSE standards across projects.
  • Professional Development: Attend structured training sessions and complete your apprenticeship programme, building strong communication, problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
What We’re Looking For
  • Education: 112+ UCAS points, 5 GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) including Maths, English & Science.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK licence (or working towards it).
  • Skills: Self‑starter, team player, excellent communicator, flexible and proactive.
