Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a long-term employment mindset and the potential for growth within the company. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate and timely financial records for our property investment and management portfolio. You will work with a small, in-house team in a family-style environment that values accountability and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Monthly Financial Operations: Complete monthly bank reconciliations for multiple entities with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Transaction Management: Post all accounts receivable journal entries using Manage America software.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Support the preparation of quarterly and year-end financial statements as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with a small in-house team to maintain clean and accurate books, ensuring all financial data is organized and up-to-date.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, with a strong background in financial reporting and analysis. A minimum of 5 years of experience is required, with exposure to US accounting practices.
  • Technical Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have previous experience with accounting software, specifically Manage America and Yardi Breeze. Familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Possess strong organizational skills and an unwavering attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial tasks.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience in real estate accounting or property management is highly valued.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal English communication skills are a must.
  • Work Style: Must be comfortable working remotely and autonomously within the US Pacific Time zone.
