Requirements

• BSc (Eng) / BScEng / BEng degree in Electrical Engineering
• Registered Candidate Engineer with ECSA
• At least 3 - 5 years relevant post graduate experience.
• Detailed knowledge of the OHS Act and Regulations.
• Financial analysis and competency in using SAP.
• A high degree of computer literacy.

Key Performance Areas

• Conducting research and investigations to obtain information for the design of high voltage network infrastructure.
• Disseminating results of research and investigations to Functional Manager, Branch Manager, fellow professionals in Operational Branches within the Department by means of written reports and meetings.
• Applies a body of professional knowledge coupled with experience to plan, design/develop and implement a full range of programmes, systems, policies and practices in relation to the professional discipline within the Transmission System Development Section to effect service delivery to customers.
• Manages approved projects and associated contracts for extensions to and replacement of equipment on the high voltage system as well as complex projects for other branches.
• Communicating with fellow professionals as well as internal and external clients to work on issues of common interest and to share information.
• Compiling and managing documentation of a complex and involved nature to facilitate the functioning of the Department/Branch.
