Role Overview: We are looking for a Product Managerto own and scale our customer onboarding experience across Africa. This is a highly strategic role at the intersection of product, compliance, and user experience. You will define and execute the onboarding roadmap, ensuring we deliver a seamless, compliant, and personalized experience for our users while meeting all regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • 6+ years of product management experience, with a track record of delivering exceptional user experiences in complex, technical, and compliance-driven products.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and risk platforms (ComplyAdvantage, Trulioo, Onfido, Smile ID, SumSub, LexisNexis).
  • Strong technical knowledge of payment APIs, transaction flows, settlement processes, and fraud/risk considerations.
  • Experience transforming KYC, KYB, IDV, and onboarding processes, preferably using AI tools.
  • Familiarity with transaction monitoring, fraud/risk management, and sanctions screening platforms.
  • Proven experience in managing technical software products end-to-end (from discovery to launch).
  • Consistent track record of leading ambitious and ambiguous 0-to-1 product builds.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills — able to negotiate priorities, influence across borders, and align diverse teams.
  • Strong communicator, with the ability to summarize complex requirements into clear, actionable product plans.
  • Bonus: Previous experience in B2B SaaS, financial services compliance, or growth-oriented product experimentation.
  • Previous Product Operations experience is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define the strategy and roadmap for onboarding experiences from a risk and compliance perspective.
  • Act as the voice of the user in onboarding and API design, incorporating direct feedback from customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other product teams to align onboarding requirements with broader platform and compliance goals.
  • Work with engineering, design, compliance, and go-to-market teams to deliver personalized and scalable onboarding flows.
  • Ensure onboarding solutions meet regulatory requirements while delivering a frictionless customer experience.
  • Drive process improvements to scale onboarding of new partners and maintain high operational standards.
  • Define and track key metrics (conversion, reliability, time-to-live, operational SLAs) and ensure teams have visibility on performance.
  • Leverage AI and automation to streamline KYC/KYB, document verification, and provisioning processes.
  • Partner with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure onboarding evolves with changing local and global regulations.
