Job summary

A leading company in marine services is seeking a dedicated pool maintenance technician to ensure the cleanliness and safety of pools. Responsibilities include performing daily maintenance tasks, monitoring water quality, and collaborating with other departments. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in pool maintenance, strong attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Job description

- Perform daily maintenance and cleaning tasks on all pools, including but not limited to vacuuming, skimming, and chemical balancing

- Monitor pool water quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper sanitation levels

- Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment and report any issues to the Maintenance Manager

- Maintain inventory of pool supplies and equipment and place orders as needed

- Assist with opening and closing of pools at the beginning and end of each cruise

- Respond to any guest inquiries or concerns regarding pool maintenance and safety

- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working on pool decks

- Collaborate with other departments, such as Housekeeping and Food & Beverage, to ensure a seamless guest experience

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pool maintenance or a related field

- Knowledge of pool chemicals and their proper use and handling

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
