Your mission as a Parts Planner

As a Parts Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal parts availability and inventory management for key customers in the Northern Cape within Epiroc’s Parts and Service Division. This role focuses on strategic parts planning, order management, and customer support to enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction while driving cost‑effective solutions and timely invoicing.

What you’ll do
  • Analyse customer demand patterns and submit accurate stocking requests to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with customer managers to manage lead times and ensure timely parts availability.
  • Prepare parts lists and costing for complex opportunities, including activating inactive parts to meet customer requirements.
  • Drive invoicing processes by preparing open order reports, confirming Estimated Time of Arrivals (ETAs), and following up weekly on focus deals for the month.
  • Monitor and expedite orders to meet customer expectations and contractual obligations.
  • Assist in preparing proposals for complex opportunities, ensuring accurate costing and parts availability.
  • Provide technical input to support sales teams in developing tailored solutions for key customers.
  • Assist with accounts receivables processes for key customers, ensuring timely payments and resolving discrepancies.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to sales and operations teams, including data analysis, reporting, and coordination to enhance service delivery.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
What you’ll bring
  • Minimum 1-2 years in supply chain, logistics, or inventory planning, preferably within the mining or heavy equipment industry in South Africa.
  • Proven track record in parts planning, order management, or customer‑facing roles, with exposure to accounts receivables and proposal development.
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • An Engineering qualification would be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Northern Cape mining operations and regional logistics challenges is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
