About the Project Manager position
As the Project Manager, you will be the lead on Implementation projects. You will co-ordinate with multiple teams (business Solutions Analyst/solutions architects, Branches, 3rd Party Integrations and Support) to ensure the timely success of the project.
Your accountability is for the entire project scope, initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing. You will track milestone and provide timeous feedback to management and clients on any impediments.
Project Manager responsibilities are:
Project Co-ordinator:
- Planning of Project activities to maximize available capacity.
- Manage projects on a day-to-day basis
- Compile, execute, and monitor project plans with input from cross-functional teams
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively
- Manage Internal stakeholder and client expectations through regular communication and status updates
- Coordinate and manage third-party vendors or integration partners
- Define, track, and manage critical success factors for the project
- Apply appropriate delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, hybrid) to manage the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Facilitate key Agile ceremonies such as Implementation planning, solutions design, and retrospectives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and tooling (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
- Understand DevOps processes and deployment pipelines to support release coordination (optional but beneficial)
Financial Management:
- Project activities are to be quoted and invoiced
Quality Management:
- Making sure all project management documentation meets the required standards.
- Making sure all project tasks are logged within project timelines
- Making sure the Scope is well understood by the client and the team
Project Governance:
- Business sponsorship visible and agreed
- Release Control & Change management.
Reporting:
- Daily update on all active projects with impediments
- Projects where priority is required should be identified daily to Operations Manager
- Projects schedule to be updated daily and to always reflect to the correct information
- Delays or issues to be escalated to Operations Manager and Implementation Team(s) immediately
Project Manager requirements are:
- Grade 12 certificate or Equivalent N3
- IT Related degree or Diploma
- Agile Methodology experience Preferred PRINCE 2 Agile.
- Preferable experience in an Implementation environment
