What You’ll Do
  • Supervise the Epiroc team responsible for conducting predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on Epiroc trackless mobile equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Oversee assembly, commissioning, and warranty management for new equipment.
  • Direct problem‑solving activities, conduct root cause analyses, and manage product improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee equipment repairs, breakdown calls, and critical parts planning.
  • Manage warranty claims processes and ensure implementation of technical service bulletins / product improvement campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure Epiroc’s compliance with contractual agreements and service level expectations.
  • Collaborate with client site operations teams and Epiroc teams and actively participate in planning meetings to ensure alignment and effective execution.
  • Promote safety and environmental responsibility by integrating MHSA compliance and proactive risk management into daily operations.
  • Lead coaching and develop the on‑site Epiroc team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage site operations costs, budgets, and invoicing to ensure profitability and cost control.
  • Track and report on actual costs versus budgets and forecast.
What You’ll Bring
  • Grade 12 (Matric) and a recognised trade qualification.
  • Diploma or degree in engineering or business management – considered beneficial.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance of mining / drilling equipment; experience with Epiroc equipment highly advantageous.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a leadership role, with demonstrated managerial skills and experience managing and motivating teams from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in maintenance of TMM and other mining equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing maintenance teams and vendor‑managed inventory and service operations – considered highly beneficial.
Who You Are
  • Extensive experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in mining equipment, with strong technical expertise in Epiroc or other OEM underground TMM (Trackless Mobile Machinery).
  • Expert leadership in troubleshooting and repairing trackless mining equipment, guiding teams to optimise performance and ensure reliability.
  • Proficient in computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated ability to generate reports and manage data effectively.
  • Excellent communication, customer relations, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
