A specialist surgical environment in Durban is seeking an Operational Clinical Nurse Specialist to support theatre operations, provide advanced clinical guidance, and uphold best practice standards in perioperative nursing care. Requirements : Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse (NQF 7 qualification required) Post-basic qualification in Operating Room Nursing (essential) Minimum 35 years recent theatre experience, with strong exposure to scrub and circulating procedures In-depth knowledge of perioperative nursing standards, infection prevention protocols, and theatre safety regulations Proven competence in clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and managing complex theatre cases Strong understanding of surgical instrumentation, theatre workflows, equipment management, and aseptic techniques Ability to guide, mentor and support theatre staff in clinical best practice Sound understanding of quality assurance, auditing processes, risk management and clinical governance within the theatre environment Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to function independently and maintain high standards of clinical practice under pressure If you meet the criteria for this position, send your updated CV to
