Job summary

A leading technology solutions firm is seeking a Network Engineer to manage day-to-day network operations and deliver network projects. You will be responsible for providing BAU coverage, troubleshooting, and ensuring the stability and security of the infrastructure. Job Summary

We are seeking a Network Engineer to provide Business‑As‑Us‑ual (BAU) coverage and deliver network projects. This role involves managing day‑to‑day network operations, troubleshooting, implementing changes, and ensuring the stability and security of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide BAU coverage (typically 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (GMT); extended coverage may be required as per vendor contract).
  • Manage fault reporting and troubleshooting with vendors (e.g., ISP issues).
  • Execute BAU change management processes.
  • Perform out‑of‑hours changes when necessary.
  • Conduct hardware and software patching.
  • Deliver project implementations while balancing BAU priorities.
Minimum Technical Criteria
  • Cisco Networking: Switching, routing, and firewalls.
    • Cisco Nexus core architecture (N9K & N3K).
    • Cisco FTD firewalls managed via FMC.
  • Meraki Switching: Access layer deployment.
    • Used in VST and remote offices.
Desirable Knowledge
  • VMware and Microsoft Azure.
  • Netskope (advantageous but not essential).
Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong real‑world knowledge of Cisco and Meraki technologies; certifications (Cisco, Meraki) are highly preferable.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to act as a liaison between technical teams and the helpdesk, monitoring ticket progress and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Confident in contributing to daily stand‑ups and weekly planning calls.
Non-Technical Attributes
  • Self‑motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage own diary and workload.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
