Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail FMCG sales, dealing with national and regional buyers at a senior level.
- Strong background in key account management, preferably within the retail channel group.
- Solid understanding of retail operations and fundamental business principles.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key relationships.
- Willingness to travel nationally as required.
- Highly skilled in communication, negotiation, and relationship management.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a disciplined and structured manner.
Key Performance Areas
- Manage and grow national key accounts in the retail sector.
- Build strong relationships with national and regional buyers and stakeholders at Distribution Centres.
- Drive sales volume and achieve pricing targets across product categories.
- Collaborate with regional teams and sales agents to improve market share and ensure effective merchandising.
- Provide accurate input into forecasting, waste management, and supply chain planning.
- Compile detailed weekly and monthly reports with actionable insights.
- Ensure consistent and proactive customer service excellence.
