Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail FMCG sales, dealing with national and regional buyers at a senior level.
  • Strong background in key account management, preferably within the retail channel group.
  • Solid understanding of retail operations and fundamental business principles.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key relationships.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as required.
  • Highly skilled in communication, negotiation, and relationship management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a disciplined and structured manner.
Key Performance Areas
  • Manage and grow national key accounts in the retail sector.
  • Build strong relationships with national and regional buyers and stakeholders at Distribution Centres.
  • Drive sales volume and achieve pricing targets across product categories.
  • Collaborate with regional teams and sales agents to improve market share and ensure effective merchandising.
  • Provide accurate input into forecasting, waste management, and supply chain planning.
  • Compile detailed weekly and monthly reports with actionable insights.
  • Ensure consistent and proactive customer service excellence.
