Overview
G4S Cash Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated cash management solutions, is inviting applicants for vacancies (4 vacancies) in our National Control Centre (NCC) reporting to the NCC Supervisor.
This role is responsible for ensuring the effective monitoring of all Cash branch security systems and subsystems, including, but not limited to: Listener, KABA, OTC, Geotab, Mobility, Mix, Risk360, etc. The role also ensures adherence to Health & Safety policies, NCC procedures, processes, rules and regulations, with regular review and updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance and Monitoring: respond to safety concerns, investigate when required, and monitor adherence to systems and customer service expectations.
- Customer service: exceed customer expectations where possible and handle feedback (positive or negative) in a courteous, efficient and timely manner.
- OHS compliance: monitor driver safety, circulate daily/weekly/monthly reports to General Managers and relevant management members.
- Vehicle/fleet safety: identify non-conformances via CCTV when available and investigate; track non-downloading units and advise on repairs within 48 hours where needed.
- Risk management: escalate exceptions, run and circulate fleet safety and risk reports, and ensure adherence to all Fleet SOPs on Risk360 nationally.
- Driver performance and site visits: monitor driver behavior and conduct site visits aligned with client SLAs.
Equipment / Infrastructure
- Ensure tracking equipment is in good working order and report damages immediately.
- Follow policies during downtime to minimize service interruptions and ensure proper hand-over at shift change.
- Conduct scheduled tests of systems and report faults immediately.
Administration
- Ensure procedures are stringently followed.
- Review information/reports for accuracy before forwarding to staff and management.
- Communicate any short shift status in the contact center to the NCC manager.
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Support
- Support EHS efforts and ensure unsafe acts/conditions are reported to management.
- Familiarity with and compliance to OHS policies and standards; perform tasks in the safest possible manner.
- Use prescribed PPE when required and participate in regular self-inspections and safety meetings
- Attend safety forums, report incidents, discuss safety concerns, and participate in safety education.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- A valid Grade 12 certificate.
- A three-year Degree or National Diploma in Health and Safety or Safety Management, or an equivalent qualification (advantageous).
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, security regulations, standards, incident investigations, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office & Outlook, Google).
- Supportive teamwork and ability to deliver objectives; professionalism and customer service orientation.
