We are a tech-enabled Creative Marketing Agency seeking a dynamic and highly proficient Graphic Designer & Animator to join our integrated design team.

This role requires a creative individual who can proficiently fuse graphic design and desktop publishing (DTP) expertise with strong motion graphics and animation capabilities.

The designer must have a solid understanding of reprographics and print production, balanced with advanced skills in digital and immersive content creation.

Salary: R15 000 – R20 000 per month.

Role Requirements: The Multi-Dimensional Creative Mandate

The successful candidate will be a critical part of a team delivering cohesive brand narratives across digital, physical, and emerging virtual environments.

1. Integrated Creative Strategy

  • Brief Interrogation: Interpret complex briefs to deliver effective, brand-aligned multimedia designs for client initiatives.
  • Concept Development: Develop visual concepts, mock-ups, and in-situ presentations for stakeholder review.
  • Multi-Channel Rollout: Adapt and translate approved creative concepts into formats required for physical environments (e.g., in-store digital signage, branded TV), print collateral, digital campaigns, and virtual spaces.
  • Refinement & Approval: Edit and refine creative elements to meet technical specifications and secure final approval across various internal divisions.

2. Specialized Production and Technical Mastery

  • Technical Accuracy: Ensure high technical accuracy and adherence to industry production standards across all assets.
  • Asset Preparation: Prepare final artwork in correct formats, sizes, and color profiles necessary for press, digital platforms, and proprietary production outputs (e.g., Greenscreen and audio-visual studios).
  • Workflow Management: Manage multiple projects within defined timelines and production constraints, balancing creativity with practical execution.

3. Cross-Divisional Synergy

  • Integrated Solutions: Actively collaborate across internal divisions—Marketing, Media, and Virtual—to deliver cohesive, integrated creative solutions.
  • Priority Management: Effectively prioritize and manage work across multiple client briefs simultaneously.
  • Communication: Maintain consistent and professional communication with stakeholders regarding project progress, technical requirements, and challenges.

4. Brand Alignment and Standards

  • Quality Assurance: Uphold stringent quality standards across all deliverables, from initial concept to final execution.
  • Compliance: Ensure all creative output strictly aligns with client brand identities and guidelines.

Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Skills & Technical Proficiency:

  • Applicants must be highly proficient in graphic design, DTP, and motion graphic animation.

Core Design & Technical Expertise:

  • Adobe Creative Suite: Advanced proficiency required in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
  • Motion Graphics: Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent software) for the creation and editing of animation, motion graphics, and video content.
  • Print and Digital: Solid working knowledge of design principles for both digital and print production, including pre-press preparation, color management, and file formatting for high-volume outputs.
  • Presentations: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and PowerPoint for client and internal presentations.

Professional and Collaboration Skills:

  • Creative Acumen: Strong creative thinking with the ability to conceptualize original ideas and adapt rapidly to current design and animation trends.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills required for clearly presenting complex visual concepts to both internal teams and clients.
  • Organisational Skills: Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all final deliverables.
