Now Hiring : MCR Data Analyst (12-Month Contract) Location : Sandton, Gauteng (Onsite) Department : O&M South Africa & South Sahara Salary : R25, per month Contract : 12 Months

We’re looking for an experienced MCR Data Analyst to join our Operations & Maintenance team in Sandton.

The successful candidate will apply advanced analytics and machine learning to large energy datasets, providing actionable insights that drive performance improvement across our solar and wind generation assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and report on data from generation assets
• Develop analytics and data‑driven projects to improve operational efficiency
• Monitor and enhance technical performance indicators (e.g., availability, efficiency)
• Collaborate with local and global technical teams to resolve performance issues
• Ensure data accuracy and system integrity using tools such as PI System, SAS, Jira, and Power BI
• Prepare detailed technical and executive reports on asset performance

Requirements

• Engineering Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical, or related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in data analysis within the energy or renewable energy sector
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of PI System and Power BI (advantageous)
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
