Job summary

A leading mining company in Rustenburg is seeking a Mine Overseer to oversee production at an operational level. The ideal candidate should have a Grade 12 qualification, a Mine Overseer Certificate, and 3-5 years of experience. Responsibilities include ensuring production targets are met and managing staff effectively. Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in line with employment equity policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production targets and profit margins are achieved cost-effectively and safely.
• Effectively ensure that mining production targets (volumes) are achieved.
• Plan short term and long-term strategic objectives.
• Supervise and direct people at work to ensure compliance with laws/regulation.
• Evaluate the work of others on completion.

Purpose of the job:

To oversee production at an operational/tactical management level.

• Mining Engineering Diploma/Degree is desirable
• Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency is essential
